Your thorough departure from spyroverse has really allowed you to replace that cartoony style of depicting dragons with your own, realistic one. The way you combine common lizard, bird and dinosaur characteristics is certainly intriguing...
For some reason I have a hard time imagining these beasts would be capable of elemental breaths and other such unnatural stuff. Why, they look like they could walk off the paper at any moment!

thanks i've gotten a lot of positive feedback so far. and as you were saying, not all have "breath attacks" due to their designs. but finding new and interesting ways to make them unique is just part the fun.

Mmh, I agree with the innovation stuff, it sounds nice and logical. However my aim was merely to acknowledge your original style and ideas and and give them credit as such. I personally am more of a fan of the anthropomorphic, more 'cartoony' dragon style.
But like I said, I can very much appreciate your style too! If I had a say in things I'd only prefer a little bit less feral, dinosaur-like approach to their looks in order to be more relatable to; a compromise between realism and anthropomorphism (since the story's still about talking dragons with a culture, living in a city and stuff). That's just me though!

About how many species of dragons will there be in the new AoH? Will the different species still have special abilities or magic unique to them?

the exact number of species isn't fully decided...each species has it's base traits and each subspecies has their own special traits as well...i.e. there's more than one type of 'fire' dragon with different fire-breathing abilities.

Awesome. That will add a lot of variety and allow for more characters. So far it sounds like that this story will be much better than the original and the idea of having so many different kinds of dragons, wyrms, and other factions will add a unique element that is beyond the variety-of-creatures-and-characters of any other stories that I have read. Keep up the great work!!!

From what I understand, Pip's story is just the first half of book 4's epilogue. I'm guessing that the second part is what will tell about Crona and Certo.

Ugh, I hate and love the suspense that Jesse instills with cliff-hangers. He really is great at manipulating others emotions with his writing. That just shows how good of an author he is. This is the only series that I have read that made me laugh, cry, want to smash my computer, and happy all in a 5 minutes interval on multiple occasions. And I have read a lot of series.

Ohhh... *bows head sadly* I'm sad to hear that. I read book 4 first and when I reached the ending I thought that, that might just be how it ends. Then I read the other books and found out that they lived. I really want to know what happens. From what I heard we might have to wait for the remake to get published before we find out what happens, because he isn't really working on book 5 that much. Maybe though... the epilogue might tell. *crosses fingers and awaits the moment when book 4's epilogue is released.*
