Description
While going through Kirkwall's Lowtown Marketplace we see someone claiming to have some of the Andraste's Ashes retrieved from Mount Daverus. After "curing" a member of the crowd, the crowd will be broken up by Sergeant Melindra of the Kirkwall City Guard. Guardswoman Melindra knows this is a scam of the Carta and hopes someone will get rid of them. After looking for a little bit Marian Hawke and her companions soon found the Carta Dwarf in charge of this scam and defeated him and his gang, then turn to Guardswoman Melindra for a reward.

Note: You get this if you have imported a save from Dragon Age Origins that has completed the quest The Urn of Sacred Ashes without defiling the ashes.
