Description
Now, I don't wish to bring anyone down with a sob story, but it's just the honest truth here.
That being said, this art work is for a dear friend of mine. She was one of the first good friends I made on this website, solely through our shared love of Disney and the style, Treasure Planet, steampunk and Doctor Who. While she was heavily active in the Harry Potter fandom world, I was not, hence our friendship was never too close. However, when we did talk, it was good conversation and I can tell she enjoyed it as much as I did.
One day I offered to draw fanart for her original steampunk characters because they were so well designed and their stories seemed to be quite promising. I sketched out the work you see now, and simply saved it to complete at a later date. I figured I would have time and it wasn't too important of a drawing to do at that moment. Months went by and I honestly forgot about this drawing. I would see the sketch in my folder and lazily murmur that I do not feel like working on it and move on. One day, just a few weeks ago, I heard horrible news. My friend had passed and I never got to say goodbye. In an act of guilt and remembrance, I thought it would only be right to finish the art of her character and dedicate the work I did to her.
RIP Whisperwings . You were one of the most talented, sweetest, considerate and friendliest artists I have met on this site and all I can say is that I know you are at peace <3 We didn't talk as much as we should of but I love you and I do miss you.
Thank you all for any sympathies and condolences sent my way....she wasn't a super close friend, but she was someone who meant something to me very much.
This is her steampunk character, who was dubbed the name Adelaide Serafim-Ward.

It's amazing how one person can inspire another, without even realizing or knowing it.<3
