More information about the world in which my story (which I'm still drafting and working on ) Fey Hunters takes place in.

Not only are there Fey, animal species gifted with magic powers from birth, to contend with, there are also a number of normal animals which any wandering novice Hunter needs to be wary of. This cat is one such creature. It's called a Narmol, and it stands an easy meter high at the shoulder, bearing a strong resemblance to a giant lynx crossed with a serval. They are lone hunters, like the lynx, and have been known to hunt even small species of Fey with impunity. It is, in fact, the most dangerous living thing to Fey creatures on the face of that world... barring humans, of course. They have a wide range, out-competing other predators like lions and wolves in all the areas they are common in, and can be found on tundra and jungle alike. Here is a Narmol with its more typical prey, a wild boar, which in itself is a mighty feat for most other animals. Even Pinchertail Fey are reluctant to fight a Narmol. And those things weigh in the tons!

Fortunately for Fey Hunters and the towns they patrol... Narmol really dislike urban and semi-urban areas. Its rare to see them outside of the densest forests and most remote of highland plains.
