This bold, expressive picture caught my eye immediately. The wide and fiery swathe of red is visually heavy, but perfectly balanced by the coolness of her skin and heavy shadows.

A gripping use of textures. so close it provokes the urge to touch, but not quite. The subject's expression suggests she is out of reach, a perfect being looking out of the lacy, cage-like collar.Is she protecting herself from the world, or the other way around?

With regards to technicals, I appreciate the artist leaving much more texture in there. Others may have smoothed the skin; but the natural texture (along with the added makeup) makes it so much more inviting.
