Just throwing my two cents in here but honestly bud, that was a very rude comment. And I'm not just coming in here and inserting that as a person who is all crazy about homestuck and is a huge fucking crazy human about it, I'm just defending this person in general. In fact that's what everyone is doing. You say it's a whole bunch of people from the Homestuck fandom defending the fandom but it is really just a bunch of people, part of the fandom or not, that got rubbed the wrong way by your seemingly rude comment. I am a fan of Homestuck yes, but I will admit there are some pretty crazy fans out there. I am not one of them & this poor girl probably isn't either. Just because you cosplay doesn't mean you hate yourself or should hate yourself, or are a total nut about it. Cosplay is pretty much no different than Halloween. It's just people dressing up for a day every now and then and going out and having fun. Don't be so stuffy about it. C:

Excuse me. I don't think you understand the way being a fan of something works, in terms of cosplay. When you dress up like someone, it's not because you hate yourself. And just because you don't like Homestuck, it doesn't mean you get to hate on the people that do. I personally am not a fan of it, but I don't go around acting like this.
And calling them autistic? That is NOT cool. Calling people retarded or autistic as an insult is the lowest form of disrespect. You're insulting the people who actually do have those disabilities and have done nothing to deserve that.
Let these guys wear what they want, put whatever makeup on they want, and post what they want. It's not affecting you in any way. Go back to your own sad little corner of the internet where those without manners and common courtesy are accepted, and leave these people who have done nothing but express their like of a comic alone.

Okay, allow me to reword what I said, because it seems I didn't come across the way I meant to, and I apologize for that.
I'm not saying anything about how you shouldn't have your own views. By all means, hate Homestuck for all I care. What I care about is how you're calling a fandom you don't know anything about names and insulting them simply because you don't agree with what they're doing. And you're starting fights--or debates, if you so wish to have those--because you think that a fandom is stupid and you don't think that the people who take part in it are sick, self-loathing people.
I'm sorry for you. You can't appreciate that people think differently than you, and you think it's because they're intellectually inferior to you. That's not how opinions work, friend. I'm sure you'll agree with that.
