Appearance: Valley is a healthy strong-looking common deer whose pelt consists of many shades of brown and some spotting. He has some tufts of longer fur at the bottom of his neck and right below his ears. For all intents and purposes he is average size and while he possesses slightly above average strength, the buck prefers to use it to flee or to aid others in such a thing. His eyes are full of life and are a dark brown.

At his heart Valley is a selfless soul, a figure always loyal and looking out for the others even to his own detriment. He will gladly sacrifice health and safety for the good of the herd. To him the good of the herd is better than his own self. Many could say he’s fearless, others may call him impulsive, he’d call himself simply doing his duty. Either way it’s hard to deny that he does do his job to the best of his abilities. He is a stubborn buck who refuses to ever falter in his moral beliefs to the point of dismissing facts. Despite all his faults, Valley is a extroverted soul who is highly sociable to his herd, enjoying the community to its fullest.

History:
Named for the lilies surrounding his mother that day, Valley grew up in Agartha’s forest within its loving embrace. The young life of the fawn was as peaceful as life could be for a thing of prey, with a quick interest in his mother’s task. Being a cleric was to discover and to care. Through his mother and her words of advice he learned all about the world and it’s dangers. Protect the others, be a rock. A healer is nothing if not a foundation to hold onto. It was a shame she was taken far too soon by predators. The event itself happened too fast for Valley to notice, too caught up in the fleeing, too entranced by the scent of fear. That was the day Valley learned not to fear death. He had always been told not to but never truly internalized such a thing. Why fear death when his mother fell with bravery? Without a cry save for the instinctual sound at the end with teeth met skin. Valley dedicated himself to the herd, more-so than ever before. For this family he’d sacrifice everything and care for them like his mother did for him and he for her. He’d follow in her footsteps and make her proud…at least he so hopes.

The branches reached to the sky, wayward hands stretched in reconciliation. Tonight was a night of remembrance for the spotted buck who basked under the starlit sea. He lifted his crown to the sky, dark eyes reflecting the shining moon. Valley’s tail flicked side to side as he sat and he thought, memories of life before blurring in his memory. After a long day in the sun, he simply couldn’t help himself, he couldn’t help but reminisce on the childhood that slipped away from his hooves. A snap sounded from behind. It defeated the sky like buckshot in the night. Ears shot up, tail a straight stick, his head careened backwards to watch. Frozen stiff and still like the icicles come winter he watched. Glowing eyes pierced the heart, fangs to the throat. Flight was an order. With strong legs the buck bounded into the night, hoping the shadows would provide appropriate cover.
