Description
I recently found an old axe-handle turned sword and an old shield over at my friends house. I forgot it there about one or two years earlier between 2013-2014.

When I found it I decided to make a Fallout inspired mod for it. So today I went to the hardware store and bought some nuts and two different brackets.
One V-shaped for the striking plates at the front, and another for the body.

The V-bracket (don't know what they are called, sorry) was cut in half with an anglegrinder and fixed to the main body of the mid with four nuts, twelve nuts and four washers.

The main body I had to beat the crap out of to make the holes align, it was a little to wide for the other brackets holes to match it own holes, but a few good hits with an axe fixed that problem. And with a few tits I mean like fourth, Damn thing put up a fight.

Anyway, this isn't the final assembly, as I'm going to weather the head, and the final version will have steel straps to secure it, not electrical tape. The reason I used the tape was that I wanted to see how it looked, and to get a tough idea of how it is going to look when it is done.

Sorry for rambling, but I had a lot to say about this thing.
