The fact that they were there pissed me off. I feel that if you're going to enter into a contest it should be with your own work, not someone else's adapted work, it should be yours, and YOURS ALONE.

What if there had been...I dunno, a Bleach OC? Would that count as "adapted"? If it's in the person's own style, of course, and they hadn't taken obvious elements from other characters.

In my opninion, there shouldn't be a manga section. They obviously have little to no respect for it, and the only reason it's there is because it's popular. They call it anime, for heaven's sake. My school did something like that, and it infuriated me.
It's no wonder why Japan hates us. We have 4Kids and other ignorant people.
I think if there is to be a manga section, it should have tighter rules and be run and judged by people who actually give a damn.
