Yeah...this was something I've been panicking over getting done for the past week, since I wanted to enter it in a computer arts scholarship contest. Finally finished it this afternoon.There are many many things I am not happy about with this piece, since it was rushed. And last minute I realized I had no clue what kind of background to do, so I just did some red and green mush...and then decided Kashur should have a reason for looking like he's recoiling from something. S the sword was made glowy...and I added glowy things...cause I like glowy things.
And to think, this all began as a crazy little impossible-pose doodle in oceanography class.
Did I mention I like glowy things?

It doesn't LOOK like you pieced it all togethe willy nilly at the last minute. Remember that it all came out of your head and heart and it was your creative solution to the problem you had to solve. (All art is a solution to a problem. The problem is what you set yourself out to create or express and how to accomplish it) It all looks like a very solid expressive dynamic piece and I like it. It all fits and has a life of it's own. I like your 'glowing things' too and how you handle them. The background really 'works' with the foreground.
PS Thanks for the friends. I'll be keeping an eye on you, too.

I hate it when brilliant artists are so underappreciated while a so-so artist will draw some hot half-naked guy or girl and get a million favorites. wow...even if it was rushed, I think it adds to the overall effect of the picture. Since it was a little rushed, it almost makes it look more like kashur was in a rush to back away from the sword. I really like his pose. And, as usual, your coloring is a million times better than mine will ever be..

There's a plus, and there's a minus:

-Gesture. You've tried something different. Full gesture, wavy hair, and dynamic body.
-Clothes. I rare see Kashur in that Clothes. Ain't he cool in it?
-The shading is fine done. Just make it more contrast in the brightness, thus the sword will be looking MORE glowing.
-:
-Expression. It seems that Kashur doesn't have any surpriseness. It seems he says, "Well, that's how the sword should glow,". Unless he's used to do that.
-Don't you think the sword looks... too short? Between a knife and a real sword... I think...
-Actually where's the glowing come from? From the sword or OTHER source beyonds the pic? It's better to focus only one thing for the source of the glow... or may be he's being "blessed" with that sword?

I love this ^_^ Glowy really does kicketh. I've always been a fan of Kashur, but this image is especially appealing to me. He just seems to look older in this picture. In most of your drawings, at least to me, he's always seemed sort of on the younger side. Not with this picture, though ^_^ I love all of your artwork. Keep drawing
