This does indeed have a classic feel. The scenery and the action are seamless. The two Elementals' stances and, dare I say, expressions, add a bit of wit. The feel, the textures are nicely weathered and "used". The unrelated missiles and explosions in the background serve as a subtle suggestion that this particular engagement is just part of a far wider-ranging battle.
Hmm. Looking at your Mad Dog / Vulture, looks like you kept the original design, with the thin double-barrels on the arms, eh?
Annnnnnnddd of course, this highlights one of the flaws of the Catapult design, its notorious deathtrap cockpit. Nice, though, that you showed the Catapult's pilot NOT taking it like a chump. Based on the flank hits, and the movement of the legs just now, it HAD been trying to maneuver. As well--- good depiction of the jump jets there--- might still have gotten away if they had pumped it a few seconds sooner.
The little withered tree in the lower right corner of the shot might have been better if it was just a liiiiiittle bit larger, or closer to the corner of the shot/closer to the audience.
