Now this makes for an interesting creature.
Shrouded in mystery, a keeper of knowledge and like all Librarians are quite hot tempered when you raise your voice. Judging by the eyes and the idea that they're seldom ever seen I'm guessing that these monsters hold knowledge that is not to be shared freely, the kind of information that I'm thinking is valued quite a bit.
I'm sure you've probably got your own ideas in mind, but I picture these Librarians skulking about in a realm filled to the brim with dark secrets, patrolling the shadows for those who speak this forbidden knowledge out of turn and thus killing them to prevent the knowledge from falling into the hands of those that would abuse its power.
I imagine it being kinda like a circle of trust so to speak, they (or someone of a higher rank) grants you access to knowledge that is only meant to be witnessed by you and only you. Thus keeping a golden rule of silence for those to read quietly and once the knowledge is gained you are free to leave as you please.
Break the rules however the The Librarians will know, for it is in this realm that they can hear and see everything that treads within their world.
Its the sort of firm but fair rule set that I kinda get a vibe out of with these creatures, but that's just me speculating and probably being WAAAAY off the mark in this case.
That being said, I'm interested to see what you plan to do with the Librarian(s) Spooky. The design is just too cool to pass up, and the very idea of them is honestly pretty creative in its own right. : )
Well... That and if more Librarians looked like this then I guarantee you that nobody would ever talk loudly in the Library ever again.
Fantastic work my friend : )

Hey thanks! Lol i could see the Librarian taking out souls who break their rules, probably if people don't return literature by a set date. Or if they're just being very, very rude in the library and the Librarian just doesn't like that lol. Anyway glad you like it!

X3 Ah delicious souls... Yum yum! That being said there definitely would be no late fees if the Librarians ate your soul if you didn't return your Library books on time. That and those rude people would definitely think twice before callously shouting to the Heavens and interrupting the silence in the Library.
You're welcome Spooky, Your creatures are fascinating both by concept and artwork alone my friend.
