Description So.. I've been in a massive art slump and haven't wanted to draw anything. So, I decided to do a 'draw this again' thing. I first drew Ariel back in 2016, and again last year so.. <3 Figured why not? I am so proud of this. I got the image in my mind of her like... Trying to hide the view of her collection.. Lol.
Here's the link to the one from 2016 - www.deviantart.com/spookymatio…

Hello, I found your piece through Project Comment!

First of all, congrats on your improvement! In your latest Ariel piece one can definitely see that you’ve taken a massive step forward!

I really like her pose, it is very playful. Also the look on her face is very captivating. Her hair has a nice flow to it and reminds the viewer that this scene takes place under water. Overall it's a lovely scene!

As far as things you can work on are concerned, the fork she’s holding in her hand should be placed a bit more to  the right and moved to her fingers. It’s her fingers that are holding the fork, so this should be taken into consideration. At the moment it's more like her palm is holding it, which kinda doesn't work.

While I think that her face looks very cute and beautiful, the jaw should be formed a bit differently, meaning that her outer jaw line could move a bit downwards if you know what I mean. At the moment the chin looks very sharp and you could relieve that it the jaw bones have more form and structure to them.

Also, you hardly used any lines for the hair and the tail, so I think it might be nice if you also rendered the sea shell bra and her arms in a way that there are no visible dark lines. I think you are at a stage where you could tackle this by letting light and shadow form her body (like the way you did at her belly).

I hope I was able to help, and if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask Happy drawing!
