A thing I always found interesting is that who Devilman is depends on what story you see. Violence Jack, 1970s Monster of the Week Devilman anime(Which is where Devilman no Uta is from), and Devilman Grimoire its Amon in control and Akira is effectively dead. He then falls for Miki in several and then fights to protect humanity.
Meanwhile the manga, OVAs, Lady, and Crybaby Devilman is Akira. And funny enough it's only when his friend Ryo is there that Akira is able to retain his humanity to become Devilman.
