I'm impressed. How did you do the grass? is it modeled-spray on? or mapped material? If it is a rendering of 'grass' - I think it might be the best I have ever seen! well done!

Things are ok, busy as usual. Can't wait for the break when I can work on some independent projects and learn v-ray! Anyway, how's the education going, I imagine you're devoting much of your time to designing your thesis project.

as for school, no thesis my friend! just a series of option studios and electives. right now i am in wes jones studio, which is amazing because i consider him one of my favorite contemporary architects. right now i am taking a cad/cam class and learning GIS which is incredible.
we had a lecture by UN studio tonight which was absolutly fantastic, he presented their mercades benz museum in stutgart. over the last two weeks i have had round table discussions with preston scott cohen, toshiko mori, antonine picon, jan kaplicky (future systems)...so ya a bit overwhelming but an incedible and busy experience so far.

Hey, the V-ray info would be excellent, I need all the help I can get. I'm still pretty klunky-like in 3ds max, but I've gotten better since I first started. (Btw, what's GIS?)
Sounds like your being surrounded by some pretty awesome architects. I bet you were stoked to see Toshiko & UN Studios, I know I would've been. I'm going to see my first starchitect next Tuesday, me and several others in my studio are driving to Virginia to hear Lebbeus Woods speak. So I'm pumped about that. Anyway, being the arch-nerd that I am, I'm going to work in studio on a Friday. *gets back to work*

im in studio too bro! we have "beer and dogs" on fridays + loud music so it is a little distracting right now. but ya, lebbeus, thats awesome should be a great lecture.
GIS=Geographic Information Systems. we make pretty maps with census data and so forth.
