PLZ FULLVIEW~~ X3 Plz & TQ~~~Another fanart...
This time it's OKAMI~!!!! One of the best & most satisfying games that I've played!! X3
Another attempt in traditional + CG... The whole pic is drawn using a Chinese painting brush while the colours r added in later using PS7... The colours r done simply tho...
It was fun working on the pic~~~
Ammy or Amaterasu & Issun~~ =3 They r rather odd as partners but sometimes they juz make you smile & laugh...
One known translation mistake that I've found out while browsing thru other DA artists' OKAMI fanart drawings is that some people mistaken the word 'OKAMI' as 'wolf', which is TOTALLY INCORRECT!!
O-Kami in Japanese or 'da sen' in Chinese means 'Great God' if translated into English. If anyone of you play the game, you'll definitely noticed that the other 12 gods each have the word '-gami' at the end of their names, so basically the word 'gami' in Japanese means 'god'...
This game is really neat & good to look at wif its Japanese old-style painting look & the influence of Ancient Japanese folklores or legends. I'll leave that to urself to decide ^^
Anyhow, OKAMI is an awesome PS2 game that everyone should play!! ^^

Oh, another fun translation... 'Issun' if translated into English, it means 'one inch', since that Issun IS deprived by the Japanese folklore about the One-Inch Boy! Well, his name does have the literal meaning! XDDD

I was looking for something that had both Ammy and Issun and tried to stay true to the artstyle of the game. I faved this becuase I felt it matched up to what I was looking for.

Nice drawing. It indeed have the Japanese feeling in it with the Okami wording and its kanji on a.... sun? I like the flames on the back of the wolf.
