Description I made this diagram to explain to a friend where the color comes from. I figured I'd post it in case anyone else is curious!

There are three sacs, each with a primary color in smoke form. The bear controls how much of each color is pushed into the passageway to create whatever color it needs. However, the bear can use all colors at once to lay down sort of a 'base layer' of color around it before needing to choose colors to use in detail.

This means Prism Bears cannot breath through their mouths, and their mouth is not connected to the stomach. Which is fine, because they don't eat. (Who has time to hunt and sleep when you are busy coloring the world?)
