Description It's way way past my bedtime and it took me much longer than expected to piece this thing together in photoshop- but I'm so happy with it I had to put it up anyway.

12" x 18" watercolor and a tiny bit of ink and white acrylic.

Some of my greatest influences in art growing up have been ~johanna and ~liselotte-eriksson with their fantasy art and gothic faeries, as well as Brian Froud. Dark romantic themes and alternative culture have always led me to artists, writers, and musicians I can relate to and back then I found a lot more comfort in those things than I did in the company of most people.

From childhood I have always hoped to make my own faeries and dark fantasy worlds, and I did for a while- but eventually I was distracted by other frivolous trappings of adulthood. A lot of those things have become unimportant to me now, and I just want to get back to what makes art and being alive truly fulfilling for
me.

This is one of the first polished art pieces in that process that isn't related to a reference sheet, so it's kind of meaningful to me.

I love this so much.
I adore her big-glam hair style and her many, many pairs of wings.
