Description By some accident, I have discovered the Rainmeter program and I was excited about it that I had to make my own skin suite. Also, it was finally a reason to clean my desktop It is my first rainmeter creation so those skins are mostly just altered skins of other people that I wanted to have on my computer. It isn't anything extra... but it is shiny, ain't it?
If you don't know Rainmeter, go to visit their pages (link bellow); in a shortcut, it is a software that allows you to display many interresting data about your PC on your desktop (CPU and Ram usage, uploaded and downloaded data...) and some other stuff.

So, what does this Skin suite do?
- Shows actual time and date
- Shows how much CPU (for 4 cores) and RAM you are using
- Shows you how much energy is there in your battery and if you are using it or are plugged in.
- Shows you how full your two disks are (I have two disks, so you know...)
- Shows you your IP address, if you are connected to a WIFI, how much data are you uploading and downloading and how many unread e-mails do you have (however, you have to be using some e-mail client on your PC, like Thunderbird or Microsof Outlook)
- The little moon works as a music player with the basic command buttons.
- And every few minutes shows you some random Chinese from Firefly and Serenity! (However, there is only a Czech translation, so unless you know Chinese very well, you will not enjoy this if you are English)

What you need to do to use it?
- Obviously, you need the Rainmeter and to download this skin suite.
- You will also need to set up your e-mail address in the network.ini, your media player in the music.ini (if you are using something else than Windows Media Player) and set up your location in the weather.ini. However, don't be affraid, it is pretty simlpe
(- If you want that thing at the top, that is a different program - RocketDock, with my little "skin" so it fits to the rest of my desktop).
- And the wallpaper which you can get here

Credits and links:
- Rainmeter - rainmeter.net/cms/
- Some of the skins are altered verision of basic Illustro skins made by Poiru
- The weather skin is based on Simply Weather skin made by , however, the icons are my own.
- Firefly and Serenity belongs to Joss Whedon, Fox, Universal and Browncoats

It's my pleasure, I am glad you like it Though this one is very simple, you might enjoy more (It is quite obsolete now too but still a bit better.)

Hi there, I am sorry to hear that... But this is my oldest skin so I am surprised nobody asked about that sooner
I use Thunderbird myself so I will be more guessing than going fo sure...
As I see it, there might be two problems...

1) The clicking doesn't open your Outlook... then, rightclick the Network skin and then Edit skin... On line 113 there is:
LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute [[MeasureMailAppName]]
change it to:
LeftMouseUpAction=["Your/Path/To/The/outlook.exe"]

2) It doesn't show the number of unread emails... This is the more difficult problem... It goes in the Registry key and asks there, however, the Registry key depends on the verision of your Windows... this should work for Win 7. Again, rightclick the skin, go Edit skin and look on at line 58-61. There is:
(58) Measure=Registry
(59) RegHKey=HKEY_CURRENT_USER
(60) RegKey=Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\#Email#
(61) RegValue=MessageCount
If you know your way in registry, try to find there the right key and value and put it here. The "#Email#" is a variable you have set-up - your email... If you don't, try to google where in registry does your verision of Windows store the number of unread emails and put the right values there.

3) Wait, have you set-up your email? At the line 19, there is variable Email=... and you need to put your default email account there.

Did that help you? If not, try to describe the problem more in details so I know where to focus...

Thank you for your reply.. Sorry didnt have time to open DA. Here's where Im having problem.. It seems that "RegKey=Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\#Email #" this part of registry no longer exist as I reserach, and based from waht you've said that this has been a while.

I'll take look on your suggestions and Ill give you feedback after Im done..

I really appreciate those you are very eager to reply..

No need to apology, I am not rushing anywhere
So you have different version of windows then, probably... I don't know if I will be of much help then because I have no experience with newer versions on windows.
Yes you did say that And I thank you for the fav

Line #19 - I've already check and email is there.. Email=firstname.lastname@domain.com (or should I put quotes?)

Here's a screenshot of my Registry i.imgur.com/eMZndsU.png  ;, as you can see on the statusbar, I should be on the right path, but there is no unread mail there.
Im using Windows 7 Enterprise Edition, I also CTRL + F to find "UnreadMail" but it didnt show up any results.

After some digging, I think I know the answer... For some reason Microsoft decided that Outlook 2010 doesn't need to store the number of unread emails in the registry I found some tutorials how to create "uread emails" folder (check here: support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb… ) and I guess that if you create it, it might save the number of unread emails somewhere in the registry (probably somewhere in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\ ) but I don't dare to assume to understand how Microsoft people think and decide where to store things...
I am affraid I there is nothing more I can do for you to make the email skin work

I love the way you made the colors all go together so well.  I can appreciate your art and planning on this one!

Thank you very much However, my planning wasn't very good, this is the third verision of the background I did (there was the original blue one which is available for download and other yellow which was too strong). And then I wanted the rainmeter to be unobtrusive and subtle so it has the same colours (and I usually have it at 80% transparency).
I have noticed your Sysinfo before; it must have been a lot of work yet it looks pretty decent and simple. Great work!

Thanks for the nice words.  Yes, it was a lot of work but when I decided to publish the creation I put in as many options as possible.  Keep up the good work!

I thing they have added some addictive substances to the program
Thank you very much, I like it too. My new skin looks much cooler (I have just uploaded it here) but this is shinier
