Finished pencils for a Spider-Gwen print that I'll be bringing to Phoenix Comicon next week. Ever since this character first premiered I've been fascinated with her costume design. It's so fresh and modern. I deliberately left the blacks out of the pencils here to hopefully get a nice smooth look to the darker parts of her costume once it's colored. Once again I wanted to take on a playful pose with Gwen, here because she's such a youthful character, and I imagine that infusing her with spider-powers would play up that part of her personality even more. I think the obvious choice would be to have her pulling on her hood somehow, but to me that pose/concept become a little clichΓ© in the short time that she's been around. I must have done twenty concept layouts for this trying to think of a good new idea for Spider-Gwen before settling on this one.___________________

I love Spider-Gwen and I've seem many impressive fanarts and covers for her but this one really stands out and the details and most of all I love the fun youthful personality you showcase and gave her here is fantastic. Β Very well done!
