Yes, Tokka is awesome. Yes, it is better than Zutara or Kataang. Why? Because it isn't angsty or uber cute. It's rough and tough BFF awesome love. They got each other's backs when they need to and they protect each other and are secondary, but still important.So yeah, I'm a Tokka shipper.

Yay, fire nation garb. I imagine this is during a battle. Toph's all unsure of how to help him and Sokka is injured and sad or something. Angry. I don't really know what's going on to be quite honest. But they'll make it through.

Welllllllll, Tokka is angsty the way some fanfic authors write them. Which gets old after awhile. I prefer Tokka as BFFs who one day realize they love each other. None of this "I bet I'm not as pretty as Suki, woe is me" crap.
Anyway, nice drawing, although Sokka's head is too small.

Yes, Tokka is probably one of the best ships of Avatar. It's just so cute and funny. They make a great duo and a wonderful couple. I love it how Toph's showing her more compassionate side in this picture. So sweet.

Sokka fell to his knees, then onto his chest. His eyes were shut and his teeth clenched. She could feel his heart pounding against the inside of his chest and heard his breath get thin.
Toph was too concerned to recoil when his head laid against her leg, and was on the point of reaching one hand out to comfort him *somehow* when she heard him cry out... and ruin the moment.
"OOOWWWWIE! I STUBBED MY TOE!"
She carefully arranged the fingers of her right hand into a fist...

Your reason for Tokka being the best pairing is one of the reasons why it's my OTP. It's not shoved in your face in every episode (although I do like Kataang a little) and not super angst. It's just like you said, "rough and tough BFF awesome love."

yeah, i'm super picky when it comes to pairings sometimes. I mean, Sokka/Suki is cute and Sokka/Yue is tragic, but Sokka/Toph is just...in your face and FUN. I like happy ships, which is why I'm more into Kataang then Zutara.
Not that they wouldn't have problems, but I like to imagine most of them would be resolved by Toph punching things.

even if it doesn't happen, it's still cute. i don't really mind the age gap - i also ship a couple that's got a nine year age gap.
I don't care if it doesn't really happen in canon as long as there's still some adorable moments between them. Lotsa awkward moments with Toph = mega win.
