Description I created this object in SS back in 2013, but had no way to render it since sunflow is soooo painstakingly slow. A few weeks ago I ran across the files and decided to test the object and script out in blender.

As you can see, it's not too bad. Cycles render with an hdr image lighting it. I've still got some ways to go, but the overall result and proof of concept is now there.

Sunflow is JS-based if I'm not mistaken right? Then there's your answer. I can't fuck with Blender, that interface is waaaaaaaaaaay too intimidating and complex for me.

Sunflow is java based. It's horrendously slow and can't utilize enough ram.
It renders so nicely, but soooooooooo slow.

THAT'S what I meant, Java-based. Yeah I've seen the Website and you're right, the results are worth the wait but who has time fo' dat?

Thank you. I had about 30 minutes today, and decided to take advantage of it to get something rendered. I've created some new pieces, but dA is very low on the priority list these days.
