Because of all the shows through November and delays in frame orders, the last two pieces for the Spa were put on hold. This one was particularly painful to finish but I am glad it is done. I am not fully happy with it but that is me...... It looks exceptional in it's presentation though.16 x 22 Acrylic on a 5 turkey feather fan. Mounted on hand made bamboo paper and then mounted on suede board.

on any of your feather paintings, do you spray the feather in advanced to keep the individual..."feather pieces"...(that is what i would call them) together. for example, when you pull on the feather, the surface will spread, and then when you push them together, they lock together again. i am sorry if i have confused you and sorry that i talk so much...i just ramble on. ^^'

I spray mount them together and then put layers of acrylic down to create a surface. Once you have that you can paint on it like any other canvas.

THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING PIECE OF ARTWORK DONE ON A FEATHER EVER. actually i think its the only one ive seen done with paints. on a feather.
this is reallyreallyreallly superb. I cant believe you did all this and used so much money on this one piece of artwork but you know what, I think it paid off. This should totally be featured. 'cept i dont know how to get someone to feature it

Awesome art, and I love this series you did for the spa. One day I will go, just to see these in person. I love the white tiger's expression and how you did all the fiddly, annoying-to-draw stripes on their foreheads.
