It is a very nice car, and does not seem to have been modified, which can sometimes go very wrong, and if it has been modified, then it is very subtle. Some cars deserve to be kept in as original condition as possible.

The more I look at it, the more I wonder, would this have been its original colour and if so, was it a common or a rare colour on cars when this was built? I have seen cars from the mid-70s this colour, but they are not very common, Ford in the UK and possibly Germany used a similar paint to this I think, but it was not exactly the same shade, it might have been closer to a very dark purple

Well, if the paint job is the only noticeable thing done, then it does suit the car very well, and I would not complain if the rest of the car is as it left the factory
