(I apologize for not drawing mikey on his actual design, I drew this before I had actually saw him)This finale was pretty crazy I love how donnie is now Mecha donnie now I really love robotic characters and such.
Spoilers? if you haven't watched it don't read any further
I thought this was pretty cool the fight scenes were brutal, overall it was pretty cool even if it let me heartbroken of the bittersweet ending. Many people don't want it to be canon(for some reason but i can see why in their eyes), but I feel like it is and isn't in a way. To explain myself even more, it is canon but I feel like it isn't canon from the original timeline, but more canon as another possibility. A different timeline with a different outcome, and this timeline happens to be of what if they failed to stop the Krang from accomplishing their goal. Then apparently this will happen when the Krang finally succeeds. Is pretty interesting if you give it some thought. At the end they all did die, what I mean by that is their old selves died but kept whats left of their memories and that is hope and family. Their old selves died and what is left is the new possibilities they would now endure together.
There's a reason why they placed "Tales" in the season since some of them seemed to be like short side stories of some sort, like bonuses and all that jazz

Well, I hated that the series had to end, and on such a DOWN NOTE. The world has basically been destroyed, no humans - so no April, Casey, or Karai (I mean, we assume they are dead, right?), and only two surviving brothers of the four, Raph and Donnie (if you can call Donnie a survivor). His body has been destroyed. All that remains of our adorable dork in purple is his brain. Did the beard on Raph just flip you out? It did me. And then we discover poor Mikey (who's been in the desert sun too long) and later the much mutated Leo into a creature that is almost totally unrecognizable from his original self. The only UP NOTE was that the brothers are united at the end, have found a new home, and can share together what remains of their lives. I cried at the last throwback scene of the teenage turtle with Splinter. It was really upsetting to me and a lot of fans.

For Donnie it was pretty obvious for me that he will someday will end up being a machine wasn't much as a surprise, unlike for Raph having a beard. Well that actually surprised me XD. Poor Mikey yeah, he went a bit bonkers when baking in the sun for who knows how long. For mikey's figure I thought he was gonna be sick and or fragile and more broken, surprised me when he became a wild jumpy bean in fights which I ain't complaining. Leo looked terrifying as in body when he mutated, But when he was unmasked I couldn't take him seriously anymore XD
The ending was the same it just hit me right in the heart so sad

I honestly really liked it! I think it gave Raph that shine he needed all series! Yeah, they showed him screwing up and fixing it, but here it showed that he COULD be a capable leader and he had a LOT of really great moments. He was really in his prime and when it came down to it, he was able to save ALL his brothers and lead them to paradise.
I do agree that it is a "what if" kind of episode, a nod to Same as it Never was or whatever it's called.

Although I completely disagree with all this ‘what if’ nonsense, you’re right with regards to Raph. I never really brought Sean Astin as Raph, and as much as I disliked S5 and its format, this season did give him a chance to shine as Raph. He made for a very entertaining and effective villain in the Halloween arc (which I hated) and especially here in the MA arc.

Gunna be straight honest here. The ep honestly isn't leaving much impact on me. And TBH your right. This looks like more of the outcome if the turtles failed to stop the Kraang not an actual ending. It was too outta place and it makes no sense especially since we dunno who triggered the bomb. It wasn't really the next SAINW in my opinion and I'd have preferred the finale to have been Lone Rat and Cubs
Basically ending it from where it all began.
But ey that's just me.
Nice jobs on the redraw of their designs, looks better.
(Especially since turtles can't grow hair and I ain't buyin the "they must've gotten it from Splinter's DNA" excuse cuz that's just stretchin it)

Thanks dude and I think I'ma keep my design interpretation of the turtles, because I can't draw them old looking XD I tried but they don't look good 
(For the DNA thing I think is probably all the human DNA they got while in the pet shop plus splinter then finally the mutagen, since they are humanoid turts -shrugs- or maybe the world may never know XD)

Still think the hair thing was ridiculous since they hadn't grown any before as they were growin up. But meh thinkin on it too much was bleh.
And that's okay we didn't want our babies growin up anyways ;v; Hope I didn't come off rude.
And yeah in a similar way it had the concept on SAINW it just didn't have the impact like SAINW did and tbh this finale is just forgettable fer me
