My entry for Disney-club MerMay contest.I really wanted to enter, but I didn't know what to draw. So, I just drew Ariel looking at her latest find- a pack of cards. She seems to really like the Ace of Hearts.

Awwww this has such a wistful note to it. Is she wishing she had her own king of hearts, is she playing solitaire, is she reading her fortune, does she know what the cards are??? Intriguing.

This artwork is not only very pretty (I like seeing Ariel laying comfortable on the sandy ground like that) but makes me think: What would Ariel do with games she would probably find, like this pack of cards? A person like her who gets to think that a fork is for brushing hair or a pipe is for making music, she would problably guess that these cards are some kind of communication tool or ancient artworks in a small format
