There are places that have something of magic. Places that add itself a very particular atmosphere in a picture. You look them and you find something of special, like a strong feeling, a strange attraction or... old sensations from the past.I've taken this picture with my Leica during a recent travel in Stockholm, visiting an open-air museum, called Skansen, where you can find a lot of historic buildings that have been transfered from every part of Sweden.

nice to see such photo, especially because i have my memories from my hometown, where i can go to skansen too (everybody calls it 'skansen' because the idea is similar to that in sweden) - it is 'lublin open air village museum'

Very beautiful picture. I know what you mean, some places seem so personal. Like every trinket or obstruction in a room or place has been well chosen out, has a story behind it, is dear to someone, and everything else around it is connected. Thats what I love about this picture, how very personal it feels. From the paper on the table, to the yarn, her windows, her chair and bench that dont match, the basket full of sewing supplies. It gives off a warm feeling, how shes sitting at the edge of the bench where the light is its best, sewing without a care in the world. I love the way the light brings out the folds in her dress, the strands of her hair, and those strong rays that hit directly on the table. Well done. A definite fav.
