Description
During the first days of what would later be called the "Four Years War" small klingon battlegroups were sent deep behind enemy lines to cripple the infrastructure of Starfleet and the Federation.

One of those targets was station K9 in the Wells - Star system.
The stations only defense were the USS Berlin, USS Euderion and USS Pluto, a Trio of old Daedalus - Class Ships which were long overdue for Refit. After a desperate battle the station as well as the Berlin and Pluto were lost. However, the Klingon victory wasn´t perfect. One of the three D6 lost, the other two severely damaged, the klingons had to return to their base for repairs sparing more federation facilities the fate of K9. Furthermore, as the Berlin and Pluto involved the klingon attackers in a desperate battle, the Euderion managed to evacuate most of the crew of K9 and escape the attackers.

The Euderion survived the War and served starfleet for many more years.
