Something a little different from my usual...well, do I have a usual? It's not a face anyway. My sister's friend Gabi commissioned me to draw a dancer for her house in Uganda, where she is a missionary caring for orphans. (Check out her blog: [link] ) She didn't care what ref I used so in lieu of stealing someone else's photo I used one of my sister that I took a couple years ago.
RANDOM SPOTLIGHTISH EFFECT FTW. I totally made up the background, can you tell? It was a beach picture, but the composition wasn't that great. I made up the dress too cause I thought it would be weird for Gabi to have a picture on her wall of my sister dancing in her swimsuit Also because dresses are lovely and cloth movement is fun to draw.
