Concept of The Sufferer belongs to Andrew Hussie.
My half of my art trade with and her OC, Caspian, child of Sufferer and Grand Highblood (and I'm leaving comments enabled FOR NOW...if any hate is stirred due to how 'IT'S NOT CANON FOR TROLLS TO HAVE KIDS', I will be disabling them. This is OUR rp. NOT CANON.)
This mother and son relationship has to be my favorite among all the relationships in mine and her rps.

There, in fact, IS a story behind this piece.
My best friend and I have made a lot of backstory for these two, all based on the AU of the descendants being children to the ancestors.
As stated in the comment, Caspian is the son of the Highblood; he is an infant whose existence was unexpected and never meant to happen while Sufferer was held in captivity by GHB. Sufferer, having been concerned for the life and future of his youngest son, takes to hiding in the caverns with his family (which includes Disciple and Psiioniic, along with their respective children/descendants).
When Caspian is born, Suff makes a promise to protect the infant, no matter what happens. The bloodline of the messiah is passed to this infant and therefore, he is already an abomination from the start. However, sweeps into the future, Caspian takes a role in the same footsteps to gain equality for the bloodlines.
Sufferer tends to be quite doting to Caspian, since he is the only parent capable of raising such a child in fear that GHB would slaughter him. Therefore, he gains a closer connection with him than in comparison to his other children. Caspian is also the only child he mothered with candy red blood; however, that's going into a lot more of an explanation.
You have the basic idea, I think! ^u^ I would like to see if and I could make some sort of fictional piece for these two and their familial interactions.

Not weird at all! It's nice to see someone with a curiosity for interpretation! I like that! It shows that there are still those like you in the world who want to know MORE. Who want to actually see what's behind and what inspires the artwork! If anything, it makes me proud~!
