2p!HetaOni News: It's on an official hiatus. Again.
I won't be updating 2p!HetaOni any time soon. Its future chapters are in a bit of a mess. Well, the story as a whole is kind of a mess... Sure, I could fix the story this week and update this Wednesday, but that's a whole pile of unnecessarry stress for a fancomic. So I might as well hit the brakes and have a bit of downtime.

See, I've changed the initial story length to being much shorter than intended. Things like the "reveal" of fake!Prussia was meant for post-17.5, but I rearranged it to happen much earlier. I think that actually helps 2p!HetaOni, as it's always been more plot-driven than character-driven anyway. One could argue that it's because 2ps get stuff done and don't spend hours angsting, introspecting and talking about their feelings like their 1p!counterparts, but eh, that's an opinion. Point is, I think the story is better when it's compact.

The only problem is, by shortening the story, I've kind of had to rewrite the entire story. Again. This rewrite accidentally made Chapter 11 the longest chapter in the comic, which was such a pain for me to finish (seriously, it made me want to quit soooo many times... There will never again be a chapter as long as eleven). True, the overly long chapter length doesn't sound like a bad thing, but now chapters 12 to 15 look extremely short in comparison. But I don't want to add content, just to make the chapters a "decent size", because hey, no one wants filler... So the solution would be to put stuff from future chapters into immediate chapters... But I also don't want certain plot points to happen before their HetaOni counterparts do. But if I don't change those plot points to happen in earlier chapters, then 12 to 15 will be very short. Which doesn't sit well with me.

In other words, I need to sit down and properly plot out the rest of 2p!HetaOni (again), before I continue it. So yeah, it's on hiatus for now. Although, I still need to edit chapter 8, so that's still gonna happen in the near future.

Alt-Shift Comic News: Not gonna happen.
Nothing much to say, I posted like one thing about Alt-Shift. I've decided not to make it a comic though. I'm writing it as a story. It started out a silly, spoofy, parody thing, but now that it's more developed, it can stand on its own feet and has accidentally become a lot darker than intended. And longer too. So yeah. The comic's gone. I may post things set in its universe, but the main-story will never be on deviantart. When it's finished (in like two or twenty years, because I work slowly, send help), I'll try and push for it to get proper publication. In other words, it'll probably never see the light of day outside of publishers and rejection letters. Eh. On the off chance it does get published, I guess I'll let y'all know.

Hetalia-ECD: Might be a thing. Probably.
Never talked much about this project, but I've been plotting it since I was 15? It was literally the second thing I ever came up with for the Hetalia fandom, right after the trainwreck now known as Human Curiosity over on ff.net. It's also gone through a lot of names and revisions since then, although I've finally settled for Hetalia-ECD (Hetalia - Extreme Canon Divergence) and settled for the sci-fi genre. ECD explores how personifications could have come into existence if magic weren't a thing in the Hetalia world. One of the problems with ECD is that it's extremely heavy on OCs, which is why I've always hesitated on doing anything with the idea, even though I personally think it's awesome. Another problem is that it's a setting, not a story, so what's there to tell? HOWEVER, I just really want to share the idea of it, because I see so many magic-based solutions to the origins problem, but never any sci-fi ones... I think I will begin posting stuff set in the ECD universe, but there will be no coherent storyline, since I don't want to be tied down to another long-running comic and, as said before, it's a setting, not a story.
