Welcome to the Miracleverse! AKA, the Disliked Ships AU, but I don't use this as a platform for hate. While the universe is slightly... twisted, they are all options that could have happened in the main TFIMverse. They're a chance to do things with the... standard ships that people have, and using them in new ways, as well as a platform for interesting characters. I want to do some different things with the designs, so I may note the standard designs I tried to avoid with each design. These designs have been done for... an embarrassing amount of time, so expect a lot of the designs at once, I finally decided to upload them. But, since this is a canon character, and I did it today and yesterday, that doesn't quite apply. So instead of 'what I did different' with their children, I'll explain my design choices for each of them!
Starlight's character design is 100% (besides her tail) cobbled from one of her concept designs , the one that looked most like an 'older mare' sort of mane, Mane C. She's wearing a 'decorative' bottle on her neck, .
Starlight Glimmer is the wife of Sunburst and mother of a single child, Stitchwork Shine .... Interestingly, she's still Twilight's student... well, as much as that means anything anymore, since she has no friendship lessons, no plans, it's just that she never graduated, and Twilight never said she was no longer her student... so Starlight is permanently in limbo as the Protege of the Princess of Friendship, curator of the Crystal Castle, since Twilight left her the castle when she left to live with her own husband, Starlight is forever stuck where she is, living in a huge castle with her husband and daughter, which sounds great on principle, but it's still just a huge library, full of mementos for a pony who no longer lives in the house, scattered around. The tops of the ridiculously high ceilings are covered in spiderwebs and dust, too high for three unicorns to reach, though the library is still in perfect condition and so are all the places ponies walk, but looking up reveals a dusty mess instead of beautiful shining crystal.
She's a bored, lonely pony who has very little idea of what she's doing.... she doesn't know what to do without directions, her orderly world is broken without a strict schedule, and her family is too wrapped up in their own neurosis' to be orderly. She's lost contact with Trixie, her only friend who wasn't her husband, when Trixie and her three kids and wife settled down outside of Ponyville, it's a struggle to keep her calm as she tries to work out the list of things Twilight left behind after the first friendship lesson... spiraled out of control. The list is long (It was written by Twilight, after all), and Starlight tried to work in 'checking off' her friendship lessons during her relationship with Sunburst... and while raising Stitchwork.... if you don't see the problems going on, try forcing a child's growth into a series of checklists and hovering around her social life to find potential lessons in them, leading to her child LACKING a social life, and then you'll get it.
Stitchwork's childhood is a whole checklist to Starlight. Not that she doesn't love her daughter, but it's so much easier to live when your life is put together into neat little checks, little places... and when you've gotten used to everypony obeying you, an unruly child is unbelievable, understanding is hard when you've spent your life controlling others that children aren't like miniature adults, they aren't completely reasonable, they are young and confused about the world... Starlight tried to keep up, but she's still her, and she's trying to figure out how to make it work with how she is, not changing for others... since, well... Starlight's character development, learning about how to deal with emotions, how to deal with others, how to use her magic responsibly.. none of it happened.
She's still the pony who bottles up her anger, shelves of it hidden in the castle's back room, crossing off the 'lessons' doesn't involve learning them, but fulfilling the barest minimum... Starlight doesn't know what she'll do without them in her life... she's already so lost with only half of the massive list Twilight foisted upon her after the incident in the Crystal Empire... She couldn't think of appropriate lessons, she was too heartbroken by what happened there to actually be a teacher to her student, she just gave her the rest of the massive list that she had started to make and said 'this is your job, choose one, cross it off, move to the next'... Starlight wasn't left with much, but she still isn't handling it responsibly.
Starlight and Sunburst met under some... interesting circumstances. Starlight was preparing for her first friendship lesson, or rather, doing everything she could to not get assigned one, to anxiety ridden to think she could do it,rejecting every one and having anxiety attacks while Twilight wasn't looking her way. Of course, opportunity knocked when Twilight received a snowflake on the wind from the Crystal Empire, inviting her to come... to the stillborn princess's funeral... You know the story, protecting Spike, even though he already knew, she asked him to do something special for her, so he wouldn't have to see the baby gone, to take Starlight on the only friendship lesson she had in the Crystal Empire... seeing her childhood friend Sunburst.
It wasn't hard to find, and for once, Spike wasn't mobbed by the Crystal Ponies... they were all in their houses or crowding the entrance to the palace, coming to pay their respects to the baby princess. Sunburst was home, and... well, they talked. Starlight couldn't tell how long they talked, but it was awkward and silent, with a cloud of grief literally hanging over the Empire, the two of them not sure what to say. It was only when there was a sharp knock on the door, after Spike had fallen asleep, informing them that it was morning already, that they realized they had sat there until the next day. The funeral and the freezing over of the Crystal Heart ensued.
Sunburst, being homeless, like most of the Crystal Empire, was invited to stay with Twilight and Starlight, since Starlight had not completed her friendship lesson and Sunburst was the only friend she had; she was... well, they didn't know what to do, but eventually, spending enough time awkwardly living in the same space, you grow together, especially as Twilight became more unstable, finding a husband in Big Macintosh, Starlight was put in charge of the castle, and eventually Sunburst and her tied the knot, partially over convenience and shared friendship, and.. something else. But it wasn't easy to tell what was wrong.

OK i take back what I said about Starlight on my previous account , Starlight is indeed broken, but not as broken as Twilight, but Twilight is the reason that Starlight Glimmer is Broken, and filling all her anger in bottlesΒ
I will put the mane 7 in order to the least broken to the most broken (in my opinion)
-RarityΒ
-Pinkie pieΒ
-ApplejackΒ
-Rainbow dashΒ
-Fluttershy
-Starlight GlimmerΒ
-Twilight

Idk why they dont like starburst. I guess its too hetero for the fandom and they'd rather ship her with Trixie. This ship tbh makes the most sense because they actually had a relationship prior. A lot of people see a character getting into a relationship of friendship with another and a lot of times people take it as romantic feelings. While I dont think they'll ever end up together, i dont see it with the current popular ship either.

I don't like it because I feel like they have very awkward chemistry that doesn't feel natural, and it's not that it's too hetero, considering how many people fervently shipped soarindash before they'd talked more than once. It's that it's heteronormative, which is different.
It's that Trixie and Starlight have much more chemistry and can relate to each other better, while we see their friendship established on the show and grow, while we are only informed through flashbacks about Starlight and Sunburst's friendship in the past, and don't see much of their friendship NOW.
Mainly we see them awkwardly lying about their lives to each other and save someone together after confessing, while Trixie and Starlight were honest from the beginning with each other about their faults, and had meaningful conversations about how they felt with one another, trusting one another and caring.
It makes more sense for two people to find someone who can relate to each other as a romantic partner rather than people seeking out a friend you had when you were twelve where the only thing you share anymore is inadequacy to form a relationship with.
Thats why I don't like it. Thanks for using gender neutral pronouns, but I'm a girl. ^-^

While its true that trixie and starlight have built up a relationship that is leagues better than that with Starburst, it still doesnt seem like they would have that sort of feeling unless theres a sort of proof that one likes the other in that way. Its my same gripe with the Rogue One ship with the characters Chirrut and Baze. The main reason for this is how Baze reacted to Chirrut's death by holding him in his arms. Personally you'd need to watch it if you havent. The main problem I find is that the reaction makes sense due to them most likely being with each other for a long time prior to this. That and the interactions between each other seemed more like brothers than anything else. If I had been up to date on a lot of the new season then I could change my opinion on Starlight and trixie.

For me, I don't ship it, but I certainly see why others do. But I still think, whatever the case, Starburst doesn't feel like a very emotionally healthy couple to me

Trixie has a wife? maybe I forgot.
Right, Twilight was too busy mourning the loss of her family that she forgot about teaching Starlight so Starlight never learned so she was never truly reformed... and, without the Crystal Empire, The Times They Are A Changeling never happened which means she never befriended Thorax, which means she never saved the world... wow, the Butterfly Effect.
nice hairstyle, btws

Well, they might themselves be tied up in their own horrible relationships... and a lot of these ponies don't want to see a therapist... but oh boy yes, if anypony is willing to go, they'd make a killing.
I mean, explicitly, the ones that refuse to go despite possibly knowing/actually knowing they need help; Starlight doesn't know, Twilight REFUSES SHE'S FINE DAMNIT, Stitchwork's afraid to, so is Fluttershy, New Fluttershy doesn't want her to go because she doesn't trust doctor patient confidentiality, Claystone REFUSES, and Accordance has too much of the spotlight on her to see a therapist without causing a 'THE PRINCESS'S DAUGHTER IS MENTALLY ILL' news headline.
