Oooh this one is a long and complicated one, because it semi-ties into EQG and an altverse that I'm going to unveil soon. It's kind of stupid and convoluted but I like it, and in the end, that's what's important. It was inspired by and Northern Lights. Prepare for a mind dump of epic proportions involving politics in an alternate future of Equestria. It's incredibly convoluted and seriously kind of stupid and weird but I really love it.

Born Lightning Dust Dash, Lightning Dust was born to one Rainbow Dash and her wife, Spitfire. She grew up in a broken household, due to the stress of Spitfires life, after Cloudsdale's secession from Equestria and Rainbow Dash's position in the Harmonic Council, putting her between political debates and arguing over who's fault it is that Cloudsdale fell, many believing that Equestria had sabotaged the magical properties of the floating city and why it stopped floating and plummeted to the earth. Lightning Dust could care less about that, she just wanted to have her parents together again. She moved to ponyville when she was old enough *read, ran away* and joined the other main six's children in friendship. When the Elements of Harmony chose new bearers, Lightning was the only child of the main six who did not get an element of harmony (or at least, Dash's family was the only family to not pass down their element of harmony through the family) and felt excluded and hurt that the Elements chose Spike's daughter over her, feeling like she was cheated out of her rightful power. She was still friends with the six, and joined them in their adventures, but she was never able to lend the helping hoof when Equestria was in peril, having to helplessly watch as her friends wielded awesome magical power without her, unable to do so much as touch them while they pulsated with the powers of the gods. She was with them on one such occasion, when an unrepentant Sunset Shimmer came back, her friends went into battle to banish her back to her new home dimension, and Lightning followed, finally fed up with being useless, while the powers of the gods fell upon Sunset, she jumped into the fray and was hit by the full force as well as Sunset.The Elements realized that she held no evil in her heart and she was sent back, but she was thrown into the past instead of her own time. She was thrown into Cloudsdale (during "Sonic Rainboom") and realized that she was in the past after she witnessed her mother's sonic rainboom, she realized that she had a chance to prevent the fall of Cloudsdale. She researched and trained and realized that the divergence point was at the Wonderbolts Academy. She used her knowledge of the Wonderbolts from her mom, and got into the Academy, and set about to get Rainbow Dash expelled, so she could take her position in history, and change the past. But her actions got her expelled instead, and, terrified, she waited for Cloudsdale to fall, but the fall never came. She met a young mare by the name of images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__c… Midnight Strike while Midnight was getting bullied for her black coat and bright mane, Lightning stepped in and protected her, Midnight, when she found out Lightning was homeless, she offered for her to stay with her. They soon started dating, and eventually, Lightning gave up on her obsession with her past, and they had a daughter together, Beatbox Blast. They lived happily until their daughter was five, when one night, a mysterious mare named starryoak.deviantart.com/art/P… Regal Rust broke in and told her she knew about her past, and that she knew how she could get home. Regal Rust brought her a small hoof-mirror, one that let her see what had happened after she disappeared, and she saw her friends crying over the apparent death of their friend, and she saw her own funeral. Regal Rust guilted her into believing it was her fault, and offered to help her get home, if she came with her. Lightning abandoned her family to find her friends, and together they searched for a portal home. Now, Lightning Dust is a fugitive of the law, running from the royal guard of nearly every nation in Gaia, with her now girlfriend, Regal Rust. They're incredibly devious burglars, stealing only magical items that hold some reflective property, in search for a portal that would allow them to reach home. The most baffling thing to authorities is that the items never reappear on the black market, which is why it's imperative that these two are stopped, for fear of losing precious magical artifacts forever.

I put way too much thought into this. I have an overflowing imagination and it's kind of sad.
