Welcome to the Miracleverse! AKA, the Disliked Ships AU, but I don't use this as a platform for hate. While the universe is slightly... twisted, they are all options that could have happened in the main TFIMverse. They're a chance to do things with the... standard ships that people have, and using them in new ways, as well as a platform for interesting characters. I want to do some different things with the designs, so I may note the standard designs I tried to avoid with each design. These designs have been done for... an embarrassing amount of time, so expect a lot of the designs at once, I finally decided to upload them. But, since this is a canon character, and I did it today and yesterday, that doesn't quite apply. So instead of 'what I did different' with their children, I'll explain my design choices for each of them!
There's gonna be a huge dump of these, as I recently realized while I was thinking of what scenarios to do, that I didn't have enough designs for the older ponies, and that means I'll be working on a lot of them, so there may be a gap between the story pieces and the next one, as I fill out the cast of the show. This may mean more simple descriptions, though for some ponies, it's just because a lot will be revealed later rather then just now, and the history isn't as important. So forgive me for the shorter descriptions.
These six mysterious mares, I wonder who they are....
... I'm not fooling anybody, am I?... Well, good, cause I wasn't trying to fool anybody.
These guys are 100%, absolutely, positively the Miracleverse's incarnation of the Mean Six. Because I fucking love the Mean 6.
The origin story for these guys are a bit different, and a bit secretive, because they're part of the B-plot of the Miracleverse... Changeling Infiltration. That's what I'm calling the B-plot. Until further notice.
The gist is pretty simple; Chrysalis still took photos disguised as a camerapony, this time covering the funeral of the Baby Princess, mussing their manes because 'oh darling, you all look positively dreadful'... Yep, Chrysalis is awful. But the reasoning for their creation? That stays a secret, you guys. No spoilers~
For the record, their mane colors are all natural in the autumn; they're treants , so their natural mane changes in the autumn. They don't lose it in the winter because they're modeled after ponies, but they have to use food dye to disguise their manes in the summer and spring. Since the Miracleverse takes place in the autumn, they're sporting their natural coloring.
Codenamed Lolli (Pinkie), Arc Lightning (Rainbow), Sapstain (Fluttershy), Midnight Darkness (Twilight), Appletree (Applejack), and Miner Star (Rarity), these six live in Ponyville half the time and half the time in the Hive, on the same mission each time. No spoilers.
But during their time in Ponyville, they masquerade as a group of cousins, though no one can keep straight who's related to who, besides that Sapstain and Midnight Darkness are DEFINITELY not related, they really hope, because that would make things very weird. Gross weird. So there's that.
If you're wondering how these six have not been discovered, remember that it's been 25 years now. and while the Mane 6 don't look much older to us because of my headcanons on pony aging, they DO look older in universe, and furthermore, they've changed manestyles, and not all of the town is old enough to remember what the Mane 6 used to look like... more importantly, ponies are used to ponies looking alike.
It's not that weird to them, and in fact, it's weirder that you're pointing it out, rude. Caramel has three siblings, and two of them share his Cutie Mark, only Chance-A-Lot has a different eye color, and they all share a color scheme.
Ponies have fad manes all the time; remember back when Shoeshine and Bon Bon shared manestyles? Nopony called them weird tree clones. They all have different mane colors and cutie marks, anyway, plus their fur is still a different color, even if not by a lot. Plus, their eyes are different colors. Why would anyone think they're weird.
Plus, this is Ponyville 2 decades after the show's shenanigans have passed; 2 decades without Pinkie Pie infestations or Cutie Mark swapping or any of that strange bullshit. Short of the minor Parasprite infestations and Timberwolf attacks, everything has been chill on the weird front. Maybe 25 years ago, Ponyville would think 'Magic clones', but right now? They're just weird fangirls of the Mane 6 from when they were younger and saving the world.
They're only weird in that they're such massive jerks, really, and their obsession with the flower shop and the constant disappearances....
