No, these guiding flames are illusion created by Absinthe In my world basilisks have ability to concentrate their mental energy by their gaze creating such illusory fire which is their flaming energy. Absinthe loves to create flaming roses

And I think Eclipsa from "Star Vs. The Forces of Evil" ( disney.wikia.com/wiki/Eclipsa_…) will like the flaming roses too, because she likes roses in general.
