Painting this character was great practice for me, oddly enough the only part of this painting I like the result of is his shoulder garment area of his outfit.

The actor spent more time playing a Wraith than playing his original Athosian character Halling though to be accurate he did the same on Sanctuary where he spent more time as Bigfoot than he did as John Druitt. One of the better recurring characters were played Christopher Heyerdahl and well this is one of the better Wraith artworks I have seen here.

Nicely coloured, love the sparkly effect on the shoulders. It's got a real textile look to it!

(actual physical water color paints on actual physical canvas? Like the old fashioned "traditional media" kinda thing?)
It's blended so well, I can't believe it. It literally looks like it was done with a painting program on a computer. ... 
You've GOT to tell me how in the world you blend paint like that, PLEASE! I've been TRYING for so darn LONG and it just has NOT been working.
What's your technique?

Yes this was done with water color and I'm happy with the results.
It was fustrating a bit when working with his dark clothing...There was a lot of detail I tried focusing on at the same time, I'm glad you appreciate all of it!

One question: Did you forget to colour the nails of him? When I remember it right, Wraith have black nails.
May I ask you how long it took you to learn tha facial structure of a wraith? I have some problems with that.

I've been waitingfor you to finish this and I;m not duisappointed! It's beautiful! I just love the way you;ve done the hair - such attention to detail, it's almost like you've painted every separate strand, making it look so realistic it seems like you could run your fingers through it!
And that expression - such a wicked grin - like he hasn't yet decided if he's gonna love ya or kill ya... delicious!!!
