These are two characters from a story I've been toying with. Just getting the details in order for storage. Tiger and Bison are currently unnamed, and are both unusual colors. Tiger is a golden-tabby bengal tiger. This is a coloration that never occurs in nature, so her parents left her in a basket on the stoop of a city clinic. This also results in her stripes being too pale to actually appear on her skin, like a normal tiger's would. Bison is a white bison, not an albino, but is simply a "leucistic" bison, which is a reduction in all skin pigment. They're sacred in Native American cultures, as well as the place he comes from.

In the story he's a foreigner, traveling to get away from his own people. Tiger is an outsider, being raised by wolves but denied the rights she would have had as the elder's daughter, due completely to the fact that tigers are feared. In this world each person is also an animal, and has a ring, much like the rings in Okami (floating on the wolf's back). These rings aren't on fire, they have rotating spheres that symbolize the power level of the owner. The fewer rings, the stronger the user. Predators are usually 4 or 3, prey are usually 5 or 4. anything below 5 is usually not even acknowledged. Tiger and Bison are both 2 spheres, tigers being born that strong, Bison being abnormal in all respects, not just pelt color. He was born as a 3 sphere, but as he's grown and developed his third sphere has "cracked" and broken into shards that orbit his ring.

PS: They totally hook up and raise a pair of owlets.
