There's always a question about Ammy that keeps nagging at me. Wolf or She-wolf? I welcome an answer with proof.

Amaterasu is supposed to be genderless but she is referred to as female a few times. In Okamiden she is strictly female (goddess of the sun).
In the Gale Shrine the ghost guy Yatsu calls her a fair maiden.
In Sei'an City after the encounter with the Water Dragon, Rao calls Amaterasu a slow swimmer and Issun says "Ammy gets sensitive about her flaws"
But mostly because it would be awkward to call Ammy an "it". Some characters say "he" when referring to Amaterasu. Again, Amaterasu is intended to be genderless.

Actually, Amaterasu wasn't intended to be genderless, Amaterasu is a female, most of the time people are confused on her gender because she is a reincarnation of Shiranui, which is a male.
