Description I looked for a hole in the fence. The farmer came to his field. He was a giant. He had six men with him. They carried tools to harvest the barley.

Hmm, it's an interesting take on the Brobdiginians. I do like Gulliver's responsive pose.

This is really cool. The composition is good, the rendering is good and the overall it looks really nice. The only thing that looks a little strange is the outline you put arrange a lot of the characters. I realize it was probably back lighting, but I think it's too uniform. I know it is tempting to isolate the characters from other objects for the sake of contrast, but sometimes less is more. Sometimes it is actually better to let some areas blend together, the viewer's brain will still interpret the objects clearly, its called lost edges. James Gurney is a good one to check out for edges.
Also I checked your gallery, and that turtle design is awesome, I love it.

Thanks for the comment. And yeah, it's a problem I have. I do it too often actually. I'll try to fix it in the future.

Hey, its just a little thing. I think as illustrators, we learn that clarity is extremely important, so we take that a little too literally. It wasn't until I really understood the importance of values that I realized that contrast is subjective. If you want to separate, reserve it for the area of focus, not everything needs equal contrast.
Having said that, you work is still really good, so don't sweat it.

No, no, you were totally right. And some people here on DA already noticed this feature. I know I still have a lot to learn.
