Oh, how times have changed

A boy, happy and bubbly, laughed with his friends

But inside, there was a hurt that ached all day and all night

He kept that hidden with fake smiles and laughs

But it ate away at him none the less

Another boy, who loved the faker, sworn to be there for him

And eased the pain

But it only was a matter of time

Before the truth came out.

"I don't want to do this anymore!" he cried as tears spilled

"I want to die!"

"No, you won't.."

"Everything will be okay."

The boy, not affected by words, slipped into the darkness

Searching for light

But the light was so limited

And he was growing weaker and weaker

Until one day

The boy

SNAPPED

He got some rope, and got a stool

And attached a hook to the ceiling

He was ready to take his own life

Despite what the others said

Words were meaningless to someone

Shrouded in

DARKNESS

"NO!" He screamed

As he bashed himself against the glass wall

That divided the two

"STOP!" He shrieked

As he punched and kicked

But the wall held firm

And it was beyond the boy's capacity to just stop and listen

The boy slipped the noose around his neck

Taking one last look of the world he used to call "home"

"SKY, NO! PLEASE!" The other begged, tears falling

"I LOVE YOU! PLEASE! DON'T DO THIS!"

"I'm sorry.." the other whispered. "But this is good bye.."

The boy kicked the stool from underneath him and was immediately choked by the rope bound around his throat

He gasped and gagged and wheezed

Trying to breath

But he eventually stopped struggling

As the rope swung back and forth

Until it eventually came to a stop

Leaving the other boy weeping

Hating himself for letting his friend, his love

Die

Because he was

"Not good enough to save a life."
