Today's training grounds theme is to draw a pony dressed as a character from a different fandom. So I went ahead and combined legendary eater Pinkie, with legendary eater Yoshi. Yoshi was the first cartoon character I learned to draw, almost 20 years ago o.oI had bigger plans for this (The Cake Twins would be great stand-ins for the Mario Twins) but don't have that much time to devote to this today. Still happy with the results though, and had a lot of fun.

I don't know when this happened, why it happened, or what mumbo-jumbo of DNA magic had to happen for this to appear, but I approve. If she threw eggs they would explode with tons of confetti!
Thought of doing Lyra as Yoshi? The colour would be more fitting and Yoshi does have a pair of hands.

Oh boy, I thought about the a very close idea - Pinkie dressed as Yoshi with the baby Cakes ...but probably wouldn't be as cute as this one. Nice work, the shell/saddle with the cutie mark was a brilliant idea!

It really is! I'm thinking I may need to revisit this concept on a grander scale with all of the mane six again, I love drawing all the baddies from Yoshi's Island. (And drawing Yoshi as well, its been too long!) I need to get my hands on a copy of the game again, somehow!

It's called Unicode. It's a little complicated, but if you have Google Chrome, then you can download an extension that lets you copy/paste the text. (•‿•)
