Oh dear
this one took me approximately 17 hours
I have never put as much detail to hair and skin as I have done for this piece haha...
I had lots of fun working on the details but man, I certainly did have to take several breaks. I was very close to losing my patience in some parts xDD
Anyway, I just had to make a drawing of Legolas, my fav LOTR character
Never drawn him before this and felt that I needed to fix that haha
I plan on making more portraits of several other characters in the movies, so look out for those~
Last piece I did of Thranduil:
Also I now have a Ko-Fi account!
I create cute chibi sketches of 1 OC or character for those of you who donate

This is the most amazing work I have seen in a long time! At first I thought it was a photo and then I was stunned to see the process.
I love Legolas and all elves of Tolkien very much, but seeing how you paint it has blown my mind! I try to learn to draw grayscale, and I've never understood how to put colors on it. I'm just discovering all layer settings. Although I can not quite see exactly what you are doing, your video is very helpful for me to understand how it might work and I will try.
Thank you for this great work and sharing the process! I had to watch and study all your videos, and I'll do it several times.

I love black and white and therefore also grayscales. In addition I have problems to make good shades and colors look terrible too. Therefore, I believe that I learn better, if I omit colors first. Most of the time I find pictures that have a grayscale base are also much prettier and more natural.
I have no Photoshop and draw with Krita but there are also these layer settings (overlay, screen, multiply, vivid light etc). Unfortunately, I have very little idea of what they are doing, it is all very new, complicated, but also interesting. But in the near future, I'll really try to shade properly before taking on color.
Thanks for your explanations and I would like to see such a tutorial from you!
