Description Providing some serious fire support to my squats, I decided on a stormsword over the shadowsword because I felt that the siege cannon fitted the idea of squats better. The side armour panels are 2mm thick plasticard decorated with bits of side armour and sponson shell from two shadowswor/baneblade type kits.

Thanks. It's all very simple, just a couple of sheets of plasticard and the colour is just a coat of 'Dawnstone' washed with 'Nuln oil'.

Where did you get these fine detailed plates ob the outer side from? Are they the original armour?
Wow, that's an easy coloring

Most of the detail plates are the side panels from the baneblade/shadowsword kits (you'll need two sets), the exception being the trapezoid plate at the front and rear. These are the base of the sponsons trimmed flat instead. Again you need two kits worth. All these extra parts are on the sponson accessory sprue available direct from GW so you don't need to hunt through eBay for the bits or get an whole extra kit just to carry out this conversion.
