Description Sundays are my days off, so I decided to play with my Batgirl piece from a while back. I really wanted to push the colors to an almost unnatural state because I think I'm too timid sometimes. This was also a chance to test out a very efficient (and far easier than anything I was doing) method of flatting colors that *AmericanNinjaX posted on YouTube here: [link]

Yeah, I was ecstatic when he posted that tut because like you I HATE FLATTING!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spidermanfan2099 In reply to StephenSchaffer [2009-03-30 01:09:44 +0000 UTC]

Its so the dullest thing ever!! It takes me ages to flat, and then you just hate the thought of being on PS anymore haha! Cant afford to pay though, so stuck with flatting for a while ;D

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StephenSchaffer In reply to spidermanfan2099 [2009-03-30 02:31:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but if you use the tut, and once you get the hang of his process, it does go MUCH faster!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spidermanfan2099 In reply to StephenSchaffer [2009-03-30 15:30:03 +0000 UTC]

What would you do about pencil lineart,or linert where you cant just grab solid shapes though!? Not alot of lineart I come across seems to be great for magic wand, when it is its a blessing and I'll def be using that tut for that... I've been working on alot of rough skeches lately, and flatting them has been hell!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StephenSchaffer In reply to spidermanfan2099 [2009-03-30 16:47:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, they can be a pain... Sometimes, I just copy the lineart layer, add lines to it so I can make clean shapes and then use the selections with the wand. If you keep the original lineart layer you should be able to make it seamless...

That might've just confused you more, my bad.
