Alrighty, a quick back-story to this one.

Back when I drew the slew of Darkwing / Kingdom Hearts crossover pics several years ago, someone (can't remember who) said that they would like to see my interpretation of DuckTales' Magica de Spell as a Kingdom Hearts character. And then I thought, why not? She'd make a BADASS Kingdom Hearts villain. Not as badass as Maleficent, but she'd be pretty darned close, so I drew and inked this pic, and then put it aside.... for two years. Mainly 'cause I was unsure of how people would take to me giving Magica some, uh, "volume" to her character. And I didn't know what colours to give her.

After a lot of debating with myself, I decided I would just finish it, and go with what colours felt right. I gave her gold eyes (as opposed to purple or blue or whatever colour fans give her) to show she has been tainted by the Darkness (much like the Nobodies). I suppose this is her Nobody? Whatever, interpret it however you want. I just wanted to draw a KH Magica.

Now I know that none of the minor characters really change their look in the game (Pete I think is the only exception to this rule...) but it's SO much fun creating outfit designs for them So. Yes. I needed to create an new outfit for Magica.

I finished this almost a year ago and finally scanned it in. Left it aside AGAIN because I wanted to do some pretty effects, but as you all know, I SUCK at computer graphics. I found a decent tutorial, and went with that. The end result still looks amateurish, but I think it gets its point across as... "yes, Magica is magic. OoooooOOOOoo." Actually, I'm quite pleased with the end result. The colouring and drawing are very nice, and I like her outfit design. I think I want to draw one of her and Negaduck together. I'll just give her a little less cleavage.... Sorry, gang, but that's how I draw women. I try not to, really, but yeah, it's alright. A part of it was an inking mistake that I tried to fix, but... eh. Magica seems like the kind of character, anyway, that if she were created nowadays, Disney would have given her cleavage. Don't lie, yo, y'all were thinking it.

Yes, definitely think a sequel pic is in order, with the Darkwing characters. *adds to checklist*. And yes, I know her hat looks weirdly placed. That will be fixed in the future. And I think I'll turn the necklace into the "lucky dime" which will give her her powers. It makes more sense than the heartless symbol, really. None of the Nobodies have a heartless symbol on them.

Hope y'all like it, and I don't piss off to many fans. Magica needs to be in KH too. She's SO badass, despite her odd obsession with dimes.

If they add St. Canard and Duckburg to KH, my life will be complete
