Fanart Friday for March 7, 2014 [TUMBLR POST ]

*sighs* Sorry guys, I know it's getting tedious but I FREAKING LOVE BBC SHERLOCK. And I love dedicating my Fanart Fridays to them! MWAH HAH HAH.
So, I wanted to do a "best friends" pic for Sherlock and John similar to the one I did ages ago of Rimmer and Lister in which I spend ludicrous amounts of time on individual pics of the boys and put them together. BECAUSE I love drawing these guys so much, and wasn't initially happy with my John, I ended up drawing a TOTALLY different pic of John and decided I wanted to use that one instead. But then I thought, 'Maybe I'll just draw another Sherlock and then I'll have TWO BFF pics!' and that is incidentally what happened. I didn't hate this pic of John enough to not finish it (really, I just don't like his face), and I actually did finish the other John pic too. So I chose one of the Johns to go with THIS Sherlock and drew the second Sherlock to match my other John.

So... TL;DR - this is the "first draft" of my BBC Sherlock BFF pic. Not terribly awful, but not the one I wanted as the final pic. But I like it though.

Not really fond of my Sherlock though... drawing a face at that angle is really difficult and it just ended up looking weird. Mreh, the detail on the rest of him is insane though, so I like it for that at least. Mreh, I think the biggest problem with this one is that the two don't really look like they belong in the same pic. FEH. Oh well. Hope you guys like it anyway.
