I know I have been a little quiet on here these past few days, but truthfully I have actually got a lot done
I have packed three boxes for moving house, so most of my stuff is packed
Plus, I have also worked on my web development assignment today.
Today I have learnt somthing.
Web Development Assignment
I was working on the website, I added in some contact information for the 'contact us' page and I completed various other odd jobs for the website.
I was procrastinating, avoiding adding in the dreaded ligthbox gallery
The reason why I have struggled with the lightbox gallery so much is because I have created a navigation bar and the links in said navigation bar are styled in the css. And, since the lightbox gallery used links I kept on comming across a problem where the links for the lightbox were being styled in the same way as the navigation.
So, I eventually decided it was time to start working on the stupid lightbox. And, to do this I knew I had to somehow find a way to make the navgation bar links be styled differently to all the other links in the website.
I did some research and saw many a forum post about confused css beginners like myself trying to find a solution. Then, by pure chance I read a tiny little post that simply said 'why don't you just use classes?'
Classes?
I did some more research and I struggled to add them in at first, then I eventually got it and now my navigation bar links are no longer being styled by a:link and so-forth but are now being styled via the use of a.navigation:link. And, after a inital hiccup beacuse I didn't type somthing correctly. Bingo! The links in the navigation bar are now styled differently to all the other links in the website, so now it is much easier to do everything. Plus, I can now use classes.
I have now learnt somthing usefull

The past few days I have been drawing everyday, but I havn't been uploading beacuse I am lazy
I shall hopefully upload some more soon, I have a bit of a backlog to burn through, plus I think I have a better solution for photographing my work

Indeed, moving house, assignments, artwork.
But, there is somthing oddly statisfying about fitting every object you own into little boxes and slowly emptying out all the rooms
(I may be the only person in the world who actually likes packing
Assignments are also all pretty rewarding in their own little ways, for example with this web development assignment have learnt a lot
And there is artwork which I adore
