Now I know what you're thinking. "But Steve, this isn't a realistic FF portrait, what in the hell!?"Well, to be honest drawing Vivi realistically would be, well, kind of scary. So, instead I drew him on an airship staring at one of the Dark Waltz's feathers while the sun sets, or rises. you decide!
Vivi is probably one of my favorites of any Final Fantasy.
Had fun with this piece, it felt like therapy.

This is a wonderful artwork! I know it is strange to say so but you perfectly caught Vivi's sad and puzzled expression after the attack of the Dark Waltz. He is such a lovely, moving, fantastic and powerful character! My favourite one from FFIX at least and the one who gives me most peace with Aerith when I think of both of them!

it's my favorite thing about vivi, he looks so silly but he's one of the deepest characters in any FF

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Clique, I know; but this work of art here really makes that true and then some. I always found one of the greatest aspects of Final Fantasy IX was how Vivi confronted his own mortality and purpose in life, and this scene here as he gazes upon the Black Waltz's feather...Beautiful.
