Description I want to watch the first Critters movie again. The last time I saw it I was young and timid, so I had a fear of monsters at night. During the day the movie wasn't that scary, but at night I was freaking out.

Once I watched Dead Alive (Brain Dead), however, I was so warped that horror movies never scared me again.

This is just a cutesy Critter. I was playing around with line strength (although the warped paper ruined that when I went to scan it). I also was trying to see if I could draw each hair, which worked for a few pieces, but for the most part it failed. I was too focused on making triangular hairs and not on the flow of the hair. I probably should have drawn out a guideline beforehand of the flow.

I was going to make an anthropomorphic critter, but it looked way to weird. The nose never looked right, and the lack of ears.

UPDATE 7/2010: I have officially seen all four Critters movies. I'm glad I did some fan art because that series needs more interest than it has. I should do a follow-up with Charlie, he's my favorite in the series.

Love it so much! And I actually like how the hair turned out-- all rumpled and disgruntled.

Looks like it would survive on eating fingers, heh.
