Pearly White has always been a smart kid. Fro when he was a baby to when he was a toddler, he was always watching, always attentive. No matter where his father, Blueblood, took him, he understood his place and his boundaries. As he grew, he kept them in check. He understood his father was the one with power and money based on how people interacted with him, and that he himself was an attractive accessory meant to boost up his image. So obviously, this meant he deserved not only compensation, but lessons on how to be just like Blueblood. One could imagine Blueblood's surprise when his seven year old asked in the corner of a royal afterparty, "How do I pretend as good as you do?" to which he, after a stunned moment of silence said, "As long as you look the part it doesn't matter what's underneath. Act nice and people will think you're nice." Pearly White would take that and become a master.

Blueblood wasn't fond of Pearly White's admiration of him. He wasn't a good guy, and certainly not someone to aspire to. That's why he was usually out of the house and why Zephyr Breeze was meant to be his babysitter, taking care of him and all as the one who actually wanted to be a parent for parenting sake. Zephyr, although he was eager to care for the kid, could not help but notice the disgusted scowl on Pearly White's face every time he was in the vicinity. The kid hated him, to a concerning degree. He never let him do his mane out of spite, he flat out disobeyed him and caused trouble around the house. The kid even tried to tell Blueblood to fire him! As perplexed as this made Breeze, he was determined to bond with his son (although he didn't know he was his son) and get to the bottom of this bitterness.

However, the bridge between them would get ever deeper when Blueblood became married Sassy Saddles. Pearly White was all over her, making adoring comments and compliments while his father ignored her blatantly and even told her she was around for his image and that she should stick around for her own, too...whatever that meant. Pearly White's job was to keep her here with his cute face and the fear of leaving him alone with such a cold cruel man. In return, he got money and practically whatever he wanted from Blueblood, and now Sassy gave him gifts too. Zephyr tried to do this as well, giving him gifts, but they were tossed into the very expensive fireplace and ashes were spread on his bed. But as Pearly grew, the spitefulness turned into condescending comments and biting sarcastic remarks, which hurt all the more... it made Zephyr wonder, if he knew he was also his father, would he really treat him the same? Or would he get the same admiration Blueblood did? Alas, he was forbidden to tell, and it was unlikely the kid would listen anyway...
